Waiver Wire: Week 14 (January 8th)

RW) Daniel Sprong (PIT)  14% Owned

Ferland was a waiver wire recommendation earlier in the year but his ownership still remains low at just 22%.  He did go through a bit of a cold spell after his hot start but he is hot once again with goals in 4 of his last 6 games.  He is still on the Flames top line with Gaudreau and Monahan and sees plenty of PP time, albeit more so on the second unit now.  Ferland is a great source of hits as well as he has picked up his physical play as of late.  He has had a great comeback season after a few years of off ice issues and is now up to 17 goals on the year.

Waiver Wire: Week 14 (January 8th)

Sprong is the next lucky contestant to play on the top line with Crosby and he hasn't looked out of place so far.  The young Dutchman had a three point game in his first game with Sid the Kid and appears poised to remain there as long as they keep scoring.

He also sees time on the second PP unit as an added bonus.  He could be relegated to a lower line eventually if the Pens keep losing, but he is worth a look as long as he remains on Crosby's line.
